This remarkable venue unlike a lot of other wedding venues outdoors has the added bonus of the tearoom remains for shelter.

The scene from the caretaker/tearoom ruins is of Christchurch and the Southern Alps in the distance. A five minute walk from the remains offers panorama views of Lyttelton and the harbour as well as the bays and stretching out the ocean.

You will depart from the Christchurch flight centre and fly across the picturesque Garden City, enjoying panoramic views of the Canterbury Plains and the Port Hills. Crossing over the ancient volcanic crater that is now Lyttelton Harbour, you will proceed over to Bank Peninsula.

You will then fly the scenic route around the outside of the Peninsula, viewing rugged rocky cliffs and the Pacific Ocean, wide beaches, culminating in a landing and you will have your wedding ceremony on an isolated beach.

Although you are only 15 minutes from the city of Christchurch via air, the feeling is one of being far from the crowds. This location is definitely a must for couples loving the sea but wanting the privacy so many beaches cannot offer.

(Please do note that due to flying this location is weather dependant, if we are unable to fly then we will transfer your wedding ceremony to another venue - you will be given options of backup locations. If you are in Christchurch for a few days then we can wait and see what the next day will be like weather wise.)

You will depart from the Christchurch flight pad and fly west over the Canterbury Plains towards the magnificent Southern Alps. Flying into the spectacular Waimakariri Gorge you will enjoy a low level flight through this world-renowned river canyon, the gateway to the South Island Main Divide, the high mountain chain that divides the Island in two. You will then climb out of the gorge to land on the plains where two rivers meet and mountains with 360-degree views, which can only be described as breath-taking. Some couples say it is like a scene in the Lord of the Rings. This is a location that is truly remote wilderness of New Zealand
